Fågg smart film
Make glass private with the push of a button
Fågg Smartfilm makes meeting rooms, offices and glass surfaces transparent or frosted in seconds.
What is Fågg smart film?
Lasse Veie, general manager of Fågg, explains how Fågg smart film works.
Fågg Smartfilm is a PDLC (Polymer-Dispersed-Liquid-Crystal) based window film that can be retrofitted to most glass surfaces. We connect the film to a power source so that it can be turned on or off as needed. When the foil is energized, it is transparent and when the power is turned off, it is "frosted", which means that you can not see through the glass.

Applications
-

Insight screening
In modern office environments, there may be a need to sit more sheltered alone or in groups. With Fågg Smartfilm, you screen for visibility with a single click that gives the glass a frosted surface. In this way, you retain daylight and get more flexible space solutions without making major interventions. The smart film can in most cases be retrofitted to existing glass surfaces.
-

Exposure
A shop window or a large glass wall provides unique exposure opportunities. With Fågg Smartfilm, you can transform the glass surface into a fantastic exposure surface with one click. This is done by placing smart film on the surface and using a video projector so that the glass becomes a large screen.
-

Whiteboard
The surface of Fågg Smartfilm is made of a material that makes it suitable for use as a whiteboard. Imagine being able to use the glass surfaces in the meeting room for your presentation, teaching or communication.
-

Sun protection
Fågg smart film blocks most of the IR rays and will work well as a heat insulating solution. In addition, the film blocks up to 98% of UV rays, which prevent furniture, curtains and other materials from bleaching. Reflection of the sun's rays in TV or PC screens is a problem. With Fågg smart film installed on the glasses, this problem disappears.
